Visiting - Appropriate Dress |

All visitors entering the county's prison complex are required to arrive at the facility appropriately dressed. Failure to comply will result in denial of admission to the grounds and/or visiting room. Department facilities will not be utilitized as changing rooms. The following items are prohibited from being worn into the facility visiting room: - Outerwear: Includes, but is not limited to, overcoats, winter jackets, hooded sweat shirts, etc.
- Short skirts or Dresses and/or Mini Skirts: Skirts or dresses may not be any shorter than slightly above the knee. No split skirts or wrap around skirts of any kind.
- Shorts: Shorts must reach to the knee. No gym or short shorts.
- Tops: No tank tops, strapless tops, low cut tops, exposed midriffs, sheer or see through tops or otherwise revealing tops. No spaghetti strap or halter style tops. NO sleeveless or cap sleeve shirts or dresses will be permitted. Sleeves must reach over shoulder down arm. No orange pants or shirts.
- Headwear: No hats, headbands, scarves, bandanas, etc.
Note: Religious headwear may be worn but must be removed for security inspection prior to visiting. Reasonable accommodations will be made to preserve dignity for the religion and the individual. Visitors are encouraged not to wear any outer- or undergarment or footwear containing metal as this may prolong clearing the metal detector and may preclude them from being permitted entry into the facility visiting room. The department will not provide any garments nor the means to alter any garments to comply with these above-stated requirements.
