Securus Video Visitation is a Web-based video visitation system that allows an inmate and community member to securely communicate face-to-face, with the inmate never leaving the secure area of his or her housing area. The system provides a convenient alternative to travelling to correctional facilities for onsite visitations.
Also, families and friends who cannot travel back and forth between home and a facility will find this an ideal solution. It helps by eliminating the long hours spent waiting and passing security check points.

Video visitation is a privilege
Participation in video visitation is a privilege – not a right – extended to visitors and appropriate inmates confined to the Westchester County Jail.
- All parties to a video visit are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion at all times during the visit.
- The Jail reserves the right to deny, cancel or terminate a visit based upon misconduct by either party, as well as to bar any future use of the video visit system.
- All non-legal video visits are recorded and subject to live and/or recorded electronic monitoring by the Jail and/or other criminal justice agencies. Use of the Video Visitation System constitutes implied consent by all parties to such recording and monitoring. Live and/or review of recorded electronic monitoring can be used to suspend users for violating the video visit guidelines.
- Provocative clothing and nudity are strictly prohibited, as is the taking of photographs or video during a video session. Any attempt to initiate a three-way call or otherwise provide access to a non-participant (such as by display of a phone or internet-equipped device during the tele-visit) is prohibited.
- Additionally, any communication in violation of federal, state and/or local law is prohibited, including attempts to communicate between individuals who are parties to an existing order of protection, or to otherwise circumvent prohibitions set forth in such orders.
